Monday 16th of Dec, I returned an item to Customer Services at Bayside Mall. The lady put through the transaction but a few minutes later my sms notification showed the amount had been taken off my account instead of being refunded. I questioned her and she said that I was incorrect and would have to go to the bank and ask for a statement and bring back to show her. My balance is now R360 lower than it should be because R180 has been taken off twice (once with the purchase and once with the "refund") My bank is saying that I have to wait for Woolworths to process their side before I can see the transaction being reflected. I now have to wait another day to sort this mistake out. How can a refund be deducted from my bank balance? I cannot understand why Woolworths could not have just given me the cash and avoided all this hassle. I am still working and have to now take time to go to the bank again. Sometimes being a woolworths customer just makes me see red.

Do not bother asking the Woolworths manager in Rivonia, Sandton to help you with anything i.e. not even returning smelly fish that you bought on the same day. The staff have the same 'GO TO HELL' attitude. He will find some stupid excuse and never ever takes back any product, even on the proof of having purchased the smelly fish an hour ago. He has done this many, many times. The customer is always wrong. His security stopped only me at the door on my way out of the shop, so be sure to keep your purchase slip. The quality at Woolworths is shocking. My nanny bought underpants that did not last and I bought socks that did not last. I give the shopping at Woolworths 0 out of 10.

Woolworths QUOTES: "We're a passionate South African retailer dedicated to bringing you quality, style & value for the last 80 ..." This quote is outdated - unfortunately. Woolworths is not what it used to be......... Friendly staff assistance is not what it used to be.... Now it looks like even the product is not what it used to be... I bought Woolworths pantihose from Woolworths Brooklyn in Pretoria yesterday. 4 boxes. Supposed to have three pantihose in every box. Not the case. Who steals one from a box (easy to open and steal I might add) and the unsuspecting customer still pays for three? Hey, we live in South Africa where theft has become common place (petty or not). Time to wake up Woolworths! Please secure your products' packaging in such way that a customer can recognize any tampering with the content. I refuse to subsidize the stock shrinkage of any store. I refuse to fund this kind of petty theft. I refuse to take up the responsibility of Woolworths to assure product quality AND quantity.

After various complaints about my couch that is broken, I still have not received feedback. When will I get an answer as to what is Coricraft's plan of action is. The frame has a 10 warranty. I received my couch in April/May. Not even 6 months old!

I lodged a complaint though the web site complaining about stock that was rotten n the shelves but have had no response, 48 hours later. I even took photos to show them, but just like the manager on duty, it seems like no one cares!!!

Very disappointed! Poor service from Woolworths florist. I paid and made my order for 2 days later.... Woolworths asked for special request: I said contact the recipient to confirm delievery! Then AFTER the delivery time - Woolworths Andiswe Tsotso replied to me saying they could not deliver and that I should phone them!? I did reply to him only to be given an "out of office" reply for 2 weeks hence!!!! Really? Is this the service Woolworths has a reputation for? now 2 days LATER... (thank god it was a special date!!!) still no news... Will post if Andiswe follows up after his holiday!!? POOR SERVICE!

To whom it may concern Shopping at Woolworths has always been a very positive experience for me, I was very excited to watch the "new improved" Woolworths going up in Lonehill, where I live. What a disappointment this has been! It is all very well putting in an amazing upgrade, but the staff and management are letting you down in every aspect. They are the laziest, grumpy faced lot that I have ever seen. Some, but not all inclusive are some of my sad experiences and observations: No Erdinger non alcoholic beer for 4 months. I have been to their service kiosk, where there are always an abundance of staff just chatting and on their cell phones, and asked about their lack of stock. They simply tell me to write it up in their book with my contact details and that they will get back to me, no surprises, never ever had any feedback. There are always empty and messy taste stations, never filled up again or cleared away. Yesterday I went in at 9am, and there was no coke zero on the shelf. I was in again at 6pm and still no coke zero. I went again to the kiosk and asked why there was none on the shelf, and was simply told that they hadn't noticed, but could get from the back - hadn't noticed for a whole day, and there were 4 of them hanging over the service kiosk? Worrying! The fresh bread/ roast chicken counter is the most unfiendly and unpleasant experience. What an effort for them to stop chatting with their backs to you, and get served. The tellers simply sit at their empty tills, and eventually will press their bell to call you, it looks like such an effort. The only positive staff are at the fish counter where there is a male and female server who are pleasant and a pleasure to deal with. My recommendation would be to get rid of everyone in any supervisory or management position, and get in a team of tough vigilantes to get that store on track. What a disappointment for such a long awaited " new Woolworths". Regards Cecily West Sent from my iPad

Woolworths Sandton City is a shambles. I had to call 5 times to try get information on an item in stock, still no answer. Jabulani, the Manager is now trying to get hold of this item after his staff clearly need to be at home chatting with their friends as they don't need a job. Client service seems to be run by the staff that continually puts the phone down as they don't want to be at work. They don't seem to be away that as customers we are actually paying their wages.

Hi. I was recently on holiday in Johannesburg and went to your Eastrand Mall branch to buy a desert for that day. To my surprise after dinner that night, I slid off the casing to put the chocolate pudding into the microwave, unfortunately it was already opened and half eaten!!! I have a pic that I took, as well as the receipt and the barcode...I'm horrified that the standards have dropped and if this is not sorted soon, I will go to the papers because this is totally unacceptable! R50 is a lot of money to literally throw away!!!

Woolworth in Constantia and Cavendish are our stores of choice as your quality is usual of a very high standard. I must however point out that the Herb & Lemon Chicken portions which we had for supper this evening 9/09/13 had not been bled properly and the drumstick bones were black as were the thigh bones. Very disappointed as it put me right off my meal. The supplier is obviously scoring but at both your and our expense, yours because we will not purchase the marinated portions again. We have never experienced this with your whole free range chickens.

Was sworn at numerous times today after attempting to capture data for a UCT assignment. Every single other cafe/food store on main road was very accommodating , answering all my questions and going out of their way to help. The only reason I can think of for such customer hostility is the fact that the majority of their products are seriously overpriced ( chocolates, chips, assorted sweets and beverages ) and they felt I would write negatively about it, and a polite decline would be understandable. In truth the only thing thats making me go out of my way to discredit them is the unacceptable way they treat customers. Their movies are cheap, but if you are going there for anything else, I would seriously recommend giving it a skip.

I'm absolutely disgusted with Woolworths, will make sure I run a campaign against them until the day I die. My daughter is sitting in South Africa with no food. I'm overseas, I've been trying desperately just to buy her a voucher or some food on line, but they will NOT deliver today, nor will they allow her to go to her nearest store and fetch the voucher or the food. YOU ARE SHOCKING, I will never buy at Woolworths again, and when I get back I shall run a concerted protest campaign outside each of your stores.
